Full description
A sumptuous designer studio with Scandi-inspired interiors, and magnificent views across Strangford Lough to the granite mountains beyond.

Steeped in nature, the vast, shimmering Strangford Lough is a designated Special Area of Conservation, with abundant protected wildlife and mesmerising views.

It's on the lough's northernmost tip that you'll discover Brent Cove, a luxurious studio for two positioned in a secluded cove, and featuring jaw-dropping scenery that leads your gaze across to the Mourne mountain range... without even having to get out of bed!

Schooled in Irish hospitality, friendly owners Marty and Chris have ensured every last holiday comfort is catered for..., alongside those huge floor-to-ceiling windows and that gorgeous waterside patio is a Smart TV that rotates both towards the living space and towards the bed, and a treat-packed honesty bar.

Other thoughtful detail includes black-out blinds and curtains, to help you get a good night's rest in the downy kingsize bed, and a scenic shower with toasty underfloor heating.

While there's no oven or cooker in your clean-lined, solar-powered studio, there's a small kitchenette with a microwave, sandwich toaster and a healthy grill for whipping up tasty snacks.

(Though with the bustling town centre of Newtownards a mere five minutes away, you could always go out, and let someone else take care of the cooking instead!)

Waking up to the gentle sound of waves and the wondrous sights of wildlife will surely lead to a new ritual of enjoying morning coffee out on the patio, for the best possible start to your day. And though you may be tempted to stay put, the local area is ripe for exploring.

You could start by borrowing a couple of mountain bikes and whizzing off on St. Patrick's Trail, a perfect way to get to know these historic surroundings. Otherwise, simply cycle into Newtownards, and acquaint yourselves with the fabulous array of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars.

Since you're also minutes away from National Trust properties that include Castle Ward and Mount Stewart House and Gardens, it could be considered rude not to pay them a visit! And for an authentic shot of culture, hop on the ferry to the quaint Irish villages of Portaferry and Greyabbey.

Though Marty and Chris will completely respect your privacy, they live right next door to the studio and are happy to help with local suggestions (since they also run a leading luxury food and travel blog, their foodie tips will be worth listening to!)

On a summer's evening, you'll even be welcome to join them for a spot of sunset-watching over a glass or two of wine, in what promises to be a relaxing and memorable escape with uniquely breath-taking views, and a cheerful touch of friendly hospitality.

Things to note

Check in after 2pm, check out by 11am. The studio is not suitable for children. Small dogs may be permitted by prior arrangement only.
