Ideal for a rurally romantic break for two (plus the dog), you’ll find Bodiam View Carriage located in the heart of East Sussex countryside, complete with views to the National Trust’s glorious Bodiam Castle.

You’ll find both warm and cold days are more than covered here, with a cosy woodburner-equipped lounge, and large furnished veranda for relaxing with dinner and drinks…oh, and a relaxing hot tub!

The carriage is self-contained, with a compact yet well-equipped kitchen, an ensuite shower and a separate WC. The décor and furnishings throughout are wonderfully retro, while outside you’ll find a lawn area with croquet – ideal for whiling away a few idle hours!

Not that you’ll have too many of those.  Footpaths surround the carriage, meaning those who love a good long walk are in for a treat.  Meanwhile, the Kent and East Sussex railway is achingly close by…why not catch a train to Tenterden and stroll through the tree-lined High Street?  

The local pub, café and farm shop are close by if you’re in the mood to simply sit back and relax, and the owners are happy to arrange a freshly-prepared lunch or evening meal to be sent over to your carriage, too.
