Beverley Thrills Caraglamping
England / Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire
Full description
A movie-and-art inspired vintage caravan with laid-back West Coast vibes, located on the edge of historic Stratford-upon-Avon.
Paying creative homage to the epic combination of Wes Anderson movies and retro ice-cream parlours, Beverley Thrills is the perfect hideaway for couples or friends in need of a fresh escape.
Occupying a dedicated pitch on an orchard campsite in the ancient Warwickshire village of Snitterfield, the two-berth vintage caravan is a haven for rural relaxation, with the famous birthplace of Shakespeare himself just around the corner. That's if you're in the mood to stray away from your cosy caravan, which will be doubtful. Styled with love and imagination by friendly owner Aly, a globetrotting art curator and interior designer, you'll soon find that no attention to detail has been spared.
Chequered flooring and cheerful bursts of colour add life to the soft-yet-vibrant interior, which comes equipped with a handy kitchenette, and a cosy dining area.
If you prefer al fresco feasts, you're free to bring a barbecue and whip up a sizzling sunset supper to enjoy under the striped awning... where you'll also discover two ridiculously comfortable Adirondack loungers to help you while away some precious lazy time.
When it's finally time to say goodbye to the day, a downy queensize bed will be ready and waiting for you to snuggle up in (you can create an additional single bed from the dining area, if you prefer a little more sleeping space!)
After morning coffee and a tasty home-cooked breakfast, complete your morning freshen-up routine in the terrazzo-clad eco shower room, or head for the campsite's pristine bathroom block for a piping hot wash. Here you'll also find a fully plumbed loo and a handy washer/dryer.
What to do with your day? No-one will judge you if you simply decide to curl up with a good book, or get blissfully lost in birdsong and conversation out in your calming, scenic garden.
If you do feel like exploring, a 400-metre stroll along the lane will lead you straight to The Farm, a gorgeous farm shop and café that's a firm local favourite. You can say a cheery hello to the friendly farm animals, too!
The campsite is also positioned on the famous Monarch's Way, a historic walking trail that follows the escape route taken by King Charles II back in 1651, following his defeat in the Battle of Worcester.
Amble past the Welcombe Hills Vineyard on your way to bustling central Stratford-upon-Avon without a care in the world, knowing you've got yet another mesmerising orchard sunset to look forward to when the day is done.
Things to note
Check in from 3pm, check out by 11am. One small and well-trained dog may be permitted to stay upon prior arrangement at a cost of £10 per dog per stay. Please note that there is no additional space for travel cots, so children must be over 2 years old. The single bed can be converted from the dining space in advance by guests or in advance by the owner on request. If a 3rd guest is staying we recommend bringing a camping chair and/or blanket for the outdoor space. Due to a reliance on fair weather, the awning is only operational for still, sunny days from May - September.
