Barrowden Windmill - a listed mill gently nestled in rolling Rutland countryside, for a breeze-fuelled break steeped in natural luxury.

Set within 15 acres of lush land, a break at Barrowden Windmill will restore plenty of wind in your sails!

The village of Morcott is found in refreshing Rutland, the smallest county in England - packed with quaint historic character, exquisite countryside and chocolate box stone villages. You'll also find you're in the perfect position to explore the beauty of sparkling Rutland Water and the surrounding counties.

Sleeping up to four people in two beautifully furnished bedrooms, the Windmill is the perfect place to spend precious reconnection time with friends or family, surrounded by some of the finest views nature has to offer. You can even bring the dog with you, too!

This is a listed, original and stunningly converted holiday home that comes complete with charm and personality, spread across three uniquely curved floors (please note that there are no doors between the rooms, in keeping with the character of the building).

Discover luxury linens and beautiful antiques as you look around, and then marvel at the 360-degree views across acres of fresh countryside... it's hard not to feel relaxed just as soon as you arrive.

The ground floor is home to a cosy living space, together with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, the ideal place to relax over a hearty meal and a glass or two of your favourite tipple.

Take the curved stairs to an elegant twin bedroom furnished for comfort, and then continue on your way to a welcoming master bedroom, complete with cosy double bed and truly spectacular views from the window - what a wonderful way to wake up!

After your morning coffee, why not leave the car behind and set out to see exactly what Rutland has to offer? Morcott itself features a stunning Norman church and is designated as a Conservation Area, full of architectural and historic interest.

Lovers of wildlife will feel perfectly at home too, with Rutland's Bird Fair a highlight of the county's social calendar. Nearby Rutland Water is the ideal place for water sports or a spot of fishing, and the 25-mile cycle track will keep bike lovers perfectly happy.

If watersports or cycling feel just a tad too energetic for a holiday, why not visit the local stone market towns of Uppingham and Stamford, complete with quirky independent shops and cafes to browse through?

Those who feel in the mood for a brush with city life could always visit London, just two hours away - although with such a wonderful display of nature's bounty available all around you in Rutland, we're not sure you'll want to!

So plan some time away from the rat race, give yourselves permission to relax with a breeze-fuelled break at Barrowden Windmill - and come home feeling perfectly revived.
