Full description
Two relaxing oak-framed retreats - one with a sumptuous wood fired hot tub! - designed by an award-winning architect and beautifully positioned amongst magical woodland in the South Downs National Park.

Set in the idyllic South Downs National Park, Alfriston Woodland Cabins are perfectly positioned amongst private woodland, high on a hill that showcases magnificent views of the shimmering Cuckmere river.

Surrounded by whispering trees and diverse wildlife, you're free to get back to nature in the loveliest possible way... building dens, relaxing in hammocks, and cooking delicious al fresco family feasts!

Though you'll feel miles from anywhere in particular, the historic village of Alfriston is a stone's throw away. Recorded in the Domesday Book, the chocolate-box village was the original inspiration for the famous hymn ‘Morning Has Broken', and is teeming with quaint, independent shops.

Blending perfectly with these picture-perfect surroundings, the oak framed Alfriston Woodland Cabins were designed by an award-winning architect, each sleeping up to four guests. Each cabin is dog-friendly, too... so no-one has to stay behind!

Whether you choose Foxes Hollow or Badgers Rest, you can expect an abundance of cosy creature comforts, including a lounge with a cosy sofa bed and a crackling log burner to warm your evenings, modern kitchen facilities, and a gorgeous mezzanine bedroom with endless woodland views.

Oh, and since this is luxury in nature, your chosen cabin also features a bathroom with a piping hot shower, and a ‘proper' flushing loo!

Later on, simply light the firepit to indulge in a laughter-fuelled evening of storytelling and marshmallow toasting under the stars, or if you've chosen to stay at Foxes Hollow, you can take an indulgent dip in your wood-fired hot tub, instead.

Let the distant hoots of the local owls ease you into a sound night's sleep, then relax into your day with a steaming mug of coffee. If you're in the mood for a breakfast treat, how about purchasing some just-laid eggs from the resident chickens, or pure pressed apple juice fresh from the owners' orchard?

What next? Well, you could hire some bikes and whizz along the South Downs Way, or simply jump in the car and head for the seaside!

Those in the mood for fresh-air adventure will enjoy kayaking or canoeing through the Cuckmere Valley, which is also a special nature reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The Seven Sisters Country Park is achingly close by too, named after the famous chalk cliffs along one of Britain's most unspoilt coastlines, and an enduringly popular setting for activities that range from bird watching to paddle boarding.

However you choose to while away your time, we're willing to bet your favourite part of the day will involve returning to your new home-from-home, coming together to savour yet another glorious woodland sunset.
