Surrounded by the soothing natural beauty of the South Downs National Park in West Sussex, the former Petworth Railway Station is an exquisite sight to behold.

Originally built in 1892, the striking building has been immaculately and lovingly restored to provide sumptuous accommodation with silver-service breakfast included. Set in the culture-rich market town of Petworth, The Old Railway Station is an ideal stop for Goodwood racing, Cowdray Park polo and Chichester theatre-goers alike.

There are two rooms available in the Station House building itself, and a further eight rooms in the authentically-converted Pullman carriages. All of the rooms are ensuite (with soft, fluffy towels provided!), impeccably styled, and equipped with a TV and drink-making facilities.

Station House Lower is ideal for those with slightly restricted mobility, featuring a large and luxurious walk-in shower, and a superking bed, whilst Station House Upper is accessed by a spiral staircase.

The Pullman carriages, constructed with gleaming interior woodwork, comprise six standard rooms, with a double or kingsize bed and a shower over bath. There are also two King Pullman rooms, each one equipped with a kingsize bed and a large ensuite with shower and bath.

A deliciously plentiful breakfast is served in the Waiting Room each morning, or out on the station platform on sunny days. If you’re in the mood for a treat, there is also a mouthwatering selection of cakes served all day, or how about a delectable afternoon tea?

(Those in a celebratory mood can even order flowers, chocolates and champagne direct to the room!)
