The beauty of Sussex nature is effortlessly brought to your door, in a relaxing retreat with endless, far-reaching green views.
  • Sleeps: 2 (+2)
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights (low season)

There’s a timelessly magical feeling about Swallowtail Hill, and it’s a feeling that friendly owners Sarah and Christopher have worked hard to perfect over the years.

A 40-acre Sussex farm that’s run purely for conservation and biodiversity, you can relax amongst a unique and vibrant backdrop of soothing wildflower meadows, ancient woodland, and tranquil ponds that time seems never to have touched.

(Not to mention the friendly band of farm animals you can meet during your stay, from adorable donkeys George and Buttons, to Sue the pig and Sid the goat!)

Discover Long View itself nestled proudly in its very own eight-acre wildflower meadow. A thoughtfully detailed retreat, you’ll immediately note how its name was inspired – as the glazed end showcases a gorgeous, south-facing ‘long view’. On sunny days, simply throw open the bifold doors to welcome the scenery inside.

Meanwhile, a downy kingsize bed directly faces the view (what better way to wake up?) with an en-suite shower room, and a cosy lounge and kitchen space just behind. Simply fire up the crackling wood-burner to warm your toes on chillier evenings, or curl up on the sofa with a good book (if you’re bringing the kids, the sofa space can become child-sized bunk beds, instead).

Of course, you’ll probably want to spend as much time as you can outside – this is the place to do it, after all! The covered dining deck is a soothing place to sit and chat with your loved one as you eat, and you can even prepare your meals outside, with help from the Kadai firebowl.

As if all this wasn’t enough, there are plenty more treats in store at Swallowtail Hill. For starters, you can order breakfast or barbecue boxes to make life just that little bit easier – or why not order a delicious pre-prepared meal from the Glampsite Chef?
