A unique and detail-rich off-grid retreat, lovingly crafted from natural materials and nestled amongst 20 soothing acres of Norfolk countryside.
  • Sleeps: 2-7
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Round The Woods, positioned amongst 20 acres of magical Norfolk countryside, has been featured on the BBC TV show ‘Gone Fishing’, as well as being selected as one of The Times’ top ‘Winter Glamping Spots’ and The Guardian’s best ‘back to nature’ stays.

It’s easy to see why. Teeming with wildlife and wildflowers, sweet-scented fruit trees, shimmering ponds and streams, and peppered with free-range chickens and geese, there’s a distinct feeling of having stepped away from everyday life, straight into an exquisite oil painting.

Along with the site’s two handcrafted yurts, Willow Roundhouse represents the perfect country retreat. A strawbale natural build created from sustainable, local, and reclaimed materials, immense care has been taken to ensure a calming, organic atmosphere that not only blends with the beautiful woodland, but helps you feel blissfully relaxed.

(If you need proof of the extreme attention to detail that went into the cabin’s construction, the intricate wooden floor alone was bespoke created using log discs from the woodland… taking hundreds of hours to complete!)

Sleeping 2-7 guests, you’ll be enveloped in pure, natural luxury, from the warm-toned clay walls and large windows, to the handmade furnishings.

Even the en-suite composting lavatory features a hand-carved oak sink, and there’s a sumptuous hanging chair nestled by the wood-burner that is sure to prompt arguments about who gets to curl up there.

Meanwhile, you’ll sleep soundly in the luxuriously-dressed kingsize bed – the designer sofa and chairs convert into additional beds as needed – and you can whip up a feast of kings in the handmade kitchen, equipped with an oven, hobs, and a grill.

More information

What else? Well, you’ll have your own al fresco space to enjoy, furnished with a picnic bench, a barbecue, and a huge hammock, and you’ll find the facilities both generous and convenient.

The red phone box is home to a huge selection of games, so why not pick one, and get challenging your loved ones? Or how about building a den in the woods?

If all that sounds like far too much effort, you could always meander around the site at your own leisure instead, saying hello to the chickens and geese as you take a foraging walk for fresh meal ingredients later on. Relax in the gazebo by the pond, with a good book for company, or bring a net along and do some pond-dipping.

To enhance the relaxing holiday experience, why not book a session in the onsite sauna, enjoy a massage or have a locally sourced hamper delivered to your door?

While there’s plenty to enthral in the local area, from unspoilt beaches and family attractions, to bustling shopping centres and quaint market villages, we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that you won’t want to leave the little slice of paradise you’ve found at Willow Roundhouse.
