Starry Meadow Camping
Wales / Hay-on-Wye, Powys
Full description
A festival-inspired, family-friendly ‘pop-up' glamping village with furnished canvas tents and generous facilities, all within easy walking distance of Hay-on-Wye.
Offering exclusive family-friendly glamping between 22nd July and 22nd August 2022, Starry Meadow Camping promises to re-introduce you to all the fun and glory of nature... in the most comfortable way possible!
A ‘pop-up' glamping village for families and friends alike, you'll find Starry Meadow occupying a private and exclusive location within the spectacular Brecon Beacons National Park.
After you've unpacked, you can cradle a sundowner and savour the magnificent mountain backdrop (this part of the world is also Wales's first designated Dark Sky reserve, hence the camp's starry name.)
For off-site daytime entertainment, the adventure-rich River Wye is just a short walk away, as is the quaint, picturesque town of Hay-on-Wye, bursting with vintage shops, bookstores, and foodie stops.
Better still, there'll be no wrestling with tent poles at the campsite, since your roomy canvas bell tent will be pre-pitched and furnished, all ready for your arrival. Each tent will comfortably sleep a family of four, with room for two more little ones if needed.
Complete with fitted flooring, memory foam-topped futons, and Indian bedside tables, these are no ordinary tents! There are also plenty of soft fairy lights and colourful bunting, to make your comfy surroundings feel extra-special.
What about facilities, you may ask?
High-quality, regularly cleaned communal shower and WC units will be on hand, while if you don't want to head off site for meals, you can enjoy delicious breakfasts, and evening meals from specially selected festival food stalls. There's also a fridge, a microwave and some kettles on site, in case you want to take care of your own catering.
As for drinks with friends old and new, the open-sided marquee bar makes for an ideal hangout spot... just add your favourite tipple!
Meanwhile, if you'd rather stay on site for family activities (the site's creators are parents themselves, so they know just how important it is to keep the kids entertained!) there's a games room packed with old-school classics, and family-friendly film showings in the evening.
Oh, and you'll also get the chance to try your hand at everything from crafts to archery.
With the essentials so well covered at Starry Meadow Camping, you're free to spend carefree days indulging in fresh-air adventure and laughter-filled catchups with your favourite people, under a beautiful blanket of stars.
Things to note
The campsite is available from 22nd July - 22nd August 2022. Please bring your own bedding, towels and toiletries, as well as warm clothes for sleeping in.
