Magnificently located in the foothills of Somerset’s Quantock Hills, the family-run, organic Cobbs Cross Farm is nestled within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and it shows.

Surrounded by pine-scented Christmas trees, lush vineyards and rolling hills, the rural views really are exceptional here, peacefully peppered with free range chickens, grazing cows, alpacas and mischievous miniature donkeys!

The farm is home to Secret Valley Glamping, an extravaganza of privately spaced outdoor homes – some luxuriously equipped with hot tubs – and contemporary facilities including WiFi, flushing toilets, fully equipped kitchens and piping hot showers.

Choose your view-infused accommodation from wigwams, shepherd’s huts, a tipi, yurts, lodges or Belle Tents – the thirty-two holiday homes found here are a veritable roll call of the ‘Best of Glamping!’ With each option secluded, thoughtfully furnished and ridiculously cosy, all that’s left for you to do is sit back and relax.

Fully insulated, and each one equipped with a well-placed window that allows you to gaze over your natureful surroundings, the Hillview, Vineyard and Quantock Paddock wigwams are encased in luxury. Choose from adults-only wigwams, each complete with its own wood-fired hot tub and private facilities, or larger wigwams suitable for families.

Meanwhile, the three cosy lodges boast panoramic views of the farm, and are just a short stroll from the fishing lake. Ideal for families, each lodge sleeps up to five, and includes a private firepit and picnic table for sizzling al fresco feasts by sunset.

If an off-grid yurt retreat sounds more appealing, you’ll find a selection of yurts nestled in a hidden corner of the paddock, by a majestic old oak tree – ideal for logging off that laptop and getting away from it all.
