Redwood Valley has a delicious, ‘secret woodland hideway’ feel you’re sure to fall in love with just as soon as you arrive.

(You’ll be in good company, too, as the site has been featured in The Times and The Telegraph as one of Britain’s top luxury glampsites and more recently in The Guardian’s roundup of the best places to stay in UK forests).

Nestled within 25 magical acres of ancient oak woodland on the Welsh borders, this is a dreamlike setting for peace, tranquility, and gentle relaxation. Choose from two secluded yurts, perfectly positioned to overlook the wildflower meadow and the site’s mighty Redwood, while amongst the treetops you’ll find an enchanting woodland cabin.

Whichever you prefer, you can unwind amongst perfectly preserved surroundings. Redwood Valley has been specifically designed to care for the local environment, so you’ll find recycled and eco-friendly materials used wherever possible (such as roof tiles re-imagined from car tyres!), biodegradable cleaning products, and pure, fresh water from a spring.

Each yurt is set on a raised platform and a generous 19ft, sleeping up to five guests in comfort. Eilian Yurt is a traditional Mongolian-made, handpainted yurt that’s lined with felt for extra warmth, while Seren Yurt has been elegantly hand-crafted from locally-sourced ash.

Both are thoughtfully and beautifully furnished, with handmade beds and vintage accessories…along with a crackling woodburning stove. Outside awaits your very own stargazing firepit and spring water tap.

Meanwhile, the Treetop Cabin comes complete with huge windows that showcase the woodland canopy in all its spectacular glory!  Master-crafted from valley wood, discover a ridiculously cosy double bed inside, along with a daybed that’s ideal for a third guest or a child.
