Friendly owners Maggie and John are passionate about preserving their slice of natural paradise, so you’ll find your chosen retreat is rich in eco-friendly comfort, including private al fresco kitchens, gas-powered showers, and compost loos.

You’ll also find each retreat is beautifully named after a variety of plum grown in the surrounding orchard. Perfect for a romantic couple, Avalon is an elegant, expertly restored vintage railway wagon that looks out over the woodland, with soft-toned décor, self-contained facilities, and a wood-burning stove to give your evenings an irresistible glow.

Bringing the family? Choose from two spacious five-metre bell tents and a luxurious five-metre yurt, each one cosily furnished and positioned to capture the most magnificent views.

Both Egg Plum and Greengage Bell Tents feature a luxuriously-dressed double bed, with two extra airbeds added for the kids on request, plus a selection of books and games, and plenty of snuggly blankets.

Your private facilities, meanwhile, are contained in a beautiful hand-made hut that’s a short wander away (choose Greengage for the shortest wander!)

Everything was just perfect, Maggie welcomed us and made us feel instantly at home, she has thought of absolutely everything and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. She recommended great ideas for walks and places to eat. John’s craftsmanship is amazing, the individual toilet/shower hut is a work of art! We felt totally relaxed and revived in this little haven, surrounded by nature. We are hoping to come again soon and would say to anyone thinking of glamping, this is definitely the place to come – it’s all you could wish for and more.”
