Wild luxury glamping at its most naturally breathtaking, in cosy wooden cabins nestled on a friendly, family-run farm in the Yorkshire Dales.
  • Sleeps: Up to 4 per cabin
  • Bedroom: Open plan
  • Bathrooms: 4 ensuite, 3 shared
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Surrounded by Yorkshire’s trademark natural beauty, and boasting gorgeous views of the Nidderdale Valley, you’ll discover Little Seed Field nestled on a friendly dairy farm that’s a long way from the beaten tourist track.

Owned by four successive generations of the same family, the farm’s proud owners wanted to introduce their guests to a more refreshing and relaxing way of life, set against a timeless backdrop of pure, wildlife-steeped wilderness.

And from the moment you set your eyes upon your soothing cabin, privately secluded amongst boulders, rushes, and whispering trees, you’re sure to feel that they’ve succeeded!

Lovingly crafted from wood, each of the seven octagonal cabins are cosily furnished to sleep up to four guests in perfect comfort, with a memory foam double bed, feather duvet, two bunks, and a crackling wood-burner to warm your evenings.  Well-behaved dogs are most welcome, too.

Two of the cabins, Bird Cherry and Meadowsweet, even come equipped with en-suite facilities, while the remaining trio, Yorkshire Fog, Foxtail, and Woodland Clearing, share a centrally heated amenities block. Here you’ll find spacious wet rooms, and a well-equipped kitchenette to help you rustle up some tasty snacks.  You can source fresh spring water here, too.

In fact, the glamping site is so remote, and so focused upon protecting the natural environment, that you’ll be able to sit back and enjoy all the comings and goings of the farm… almost as though you weren’t there at all!

While away some carefree holiday time curled up with a good book, or if you’re intrigued about the farming life, owners Joanne and Sean will be more than happy to chat with you about the goings-on.

More information

Otherwise, why not head out to explore the local area? There’s certainly lots to see and do, from an educational visit to Nidderdale Museum, to a walk up to the Coldstones Cut, otherwise known as Yorkshire’s biggest (and highest!) public artwork.

You could also stock up on some sugar-coated childhood memories, with a visit to the ‘Oldest Sweet Shop in England’ in nearby Pateley Bridge. A chocolate-box market town that acts as the starting and finishing point for the circular, 53-mile Nidderdale Way, keen walkers and cyclists can set themselves a picturesque challenge.

Wear the dog – and yourselves! – out with fresh-air-filled day trips, before making your way back to Little Seed Field by evening, just in time to catch that amazing sunset over a sizzling evening barbecue (with breakfast baskets and barbecue packs available to order, there’s no need to worry about supplies).

If you’re in the mood, you could linger outside a little longer, toasting marshmallows on your campfire as the evening gives way to a star-filled night… and a wealth of special memories in the making.

What the guests of Little Seed Field say

“I cant believe how lovely this place was! The cabins themselves have a very homely feeling to them, and are a good distance away from the other cabins. Absolutely loved sitting by the fire with all the girls having a good old chinwag! Facilities were very clean and use of a toaster and microwave was handy! The site is secluded but there are towns within a short drive! A major highlight for me was the beds were so comfy, and there was not one bit of me that could pick a fault. Thank you again! We had the best time!”

“Had a lovely couple of nights here. The site is small and peaceful and has a very laid-back feel. You simply turn up, enjoy your stay and leave – just the way it should be! The cabins are well spaced out with comfortable beds and lovely views. The wood burning stove makes the cabins nice and warm and also has a hot plate for warming up food. Plates, cups etc are provided in the cabin and there are additional facilities (kettle, microwave, fridge etc) in the amenities block. We will definitely be returning!”
