Beautifully tucked away in rural Haywards Heath, and complete with its own spring-fed stream, you’ll find it hard to believe that Enchanted Glade Retreats is under 35 miles away from the hustle and bustle of London.

Immersed in the charms of nature, here you’ll discover a creative selection of cosy off-grid accommodation, 10 acres of private bluebell woodland with spring fed stream and an abundance of forage-able food, tasty organic breakfast hampers, a wild spa, visiting wild deer at almost every sunrise, and a programme of activities, thoughtfully chosen by the friendly owners to help reset your mind, body, and spirit.

(Both seasoned experts in sustainable hospitality, Maria and Lillo also give a percentage of their profits to local woodland conservation projects and tree-planting organisations).

Better still, you can make this entire beautiful space completely your own, with exclusive use of the site for you and your tribe! Up to 25 lucky guests of all ages can be accommodated in their choice of gorgeous eco-haven, while the heated workshop space and 8m marquee mean your holiday options are truly endless.  Maria and Lillo specialise in helping you create your own unique and bespoke group gatherings, so perhaps now is the time to run that retreat or have that family reunion that you’ve been dreaming of?

A haven of peace and tranquillity, the Quirky Cabin is a lovingly hand-converted, wooden ‘tiny house’ retreat that sleeps two adults and one small child in rustic comfort. Rustle up sizzling suppers on the barbecue, and get lost in gentle reconnection with nature (and each-other).

The cosily insulated Wooden Wagon was converted by Maria and Lillo themselves, using reclaimed materials, and features a double bed and a second double above the cab, so is ideal for small families.

Perfectly positioned to capture the spectacular sunsets, Maggie the Wagon sleeps up to three guests. You’ll have private kitchen and shower facilities, soft fairy lights, a soft-glowing wood-burner… and a seating area with an incredible view!

Creatively decorated in shabby chic, rustic organic, and ethnic oriental themes, there’s a style to suit just about every holiday taste.

Once you’ve settled in, how about exploring the site, with a plethora of magical sheltered spaces to discover? You could also treat yourselves to a session in the Wild Spa, superbly positioned right in the heart of the Enchanted Glade.

Faithfully awaiting your weary souls are a traditional wood-fired barrel sauna, and a relaxing hot tub-under-the-stars (there’s even a ‘Wim Hof’ cold plunge barrel if you’re feeling brave!) together with a heated treatment space that’s just perfect for an indulgent oil or Thai Yoga massage… particularly after a long day of rambling in nature!

There’s plenty more to uncover on site, too, including nature-based art and creative therapies. If you feel like working for your culinary rewards, you could arrange a foraging and ‘wild banquet’ session with the friendly expert forager.

There are countless more on-site activities to get involved with, from archery and Saturday morning yoga, to ecology walks, women’s circles, and wildlife habitat lessons. What the guests of Enchanted Glade Retreats say

“Absolutely stunning break, real return to nature; going off grid and cherishing the connection with my husband who shared the experience with me. Facilities are brilliant – hot shower with good pressure, fantastic little shared outdoor kitchen  with sink and stove, and lovely spa! My husband had a massage and literally floated back to the tent. Highly recommended all round! We will be back!”

“Had the most amazing stay at Enchanted Glade Retreat for a friends birthday. The site is so so beautiful; it feels like every time you turn a corner there is something new to experience! The surroundings are amazing. The bell tents are beautiful and cosy. The hot shower in the woods is great, but the cold shower after the hot tub is out of this world. And to top it all off Maria and the team that run the site are all very friendly and incredibly helpful. Would recommend to anyone wanting to drop off the grid in nature with that little sprinkle of luxury!”

“Our week stay at the Enchanted Glade was fabulous. I really didn’t want to leave! The forest and wildlife such as deers, pheasants, rabbits and birds was so wonderful to see. My favourite was the Californian Red Trees which are huge! I really felt like we were in the thick of wilderness with a touch of comfort such as spacious tents with all the trimmings of blankets, beds and wood burners and a large community cooking area. The hot shower was a lovely surprise too! We brought too much with us and only really required, food, warm clothes and wellies. The pictures don’t do the glade justice. Maria & Lillo were so warm and welcoming, it’s amazing what they’ve accomplished in such a short space of time. There’s a slightly tricky walk down to the glade as it was muddy, however Lloyd (site manager) was more than happy to assist us with our luggage both ways. I’m hoping to come back in the autumn to see the beautiful scenery and array of colours. I’m an avid camper and this place comes up trumps for me. Thank you again.”
