Perfectly positioned at the gateway to the Yorkshire Moors, Camp Kátur promises to restore your happiness (Kátur is Icelandic for “happy”, after all) by reconnecting you and your loved ones with the simple joys of nature.

Consisting of three separate sites, each home to a myriad of eclectic and imaginative eco-lodges – think yurts, safari tents, geodomes and transparent unidomes for starters! – it will be impossible not to fall in love with the Great Outdoors, all over again.

Soothingly off-grid, The Meadow is dotted with temptingly bespoke accommodation that includes yurts, safari tents, pods, up-cycled lodges, and clear uni-domes.

Couples will love the Luna Stella Yurt, with its lavish bath and circular stargazing window, while small families are sure to savour a scenic stay inside a unique, 360-degree clear panoramic uni-dome, with woodland views all round…

… or how about bedding down at Bear’s Place? A quirky lodge created from 70% upcycled and sustainable materials, there’s a wood-burning hot tub… and a horse box that doubles as a bunk bedroom!

If you’re into serious stargazing, it’s Hill Farm you’ll want to head for. Home to a selection of transparent ceiling geodomes, some with hot tubs, each one aligned to the clear, dark skies and boasting views over the Vale of Mowbray, you’ll be in celestial heaven.

Sleeping families of four, or two couples, each geodome is equipped with crackling log burners and electricity, and is individually named after a star of the night sky.

It’s here that you’ll also discover Chestnut Lodge, the perfect large-group woodland retreat that sleeps up to 18 guests in three gorgeous cabins… including a central log cabin with a kitchen and cosy lounge space for epic socialising (when you’re not lazing on the veranda, relaxing in the Siberian spruce eco hot tub, or huddled around the firepit, that is!)

Finally, just off Chestnut Hill awaits the magnificent Lyra, the newest addition and the first retreat of its kind in the UK.  A luxurious two-bedroom Lodge, Lyra boasts enormous wrap around portrait windows, underfloor heating, en-suite facilities, and a wood-fired eco hot tub under the forest canopy on your expansive deck… bliss!  The master bedroom even features its own private deck area; ideal for easing into the day with a steaming coffee.

Once you’ve chosen your ideal accommodation, it’s on to indulging in your ideal activities. There’s a Swing Park and a Woodland Kingdom children’s area for the little ones to let off some steam, along with winding forest walks and pathways for everyone explore to their hearts’ content.

You could also arrange a dedicated on-site workshop, all especially chosen to make the most of the stunning Yorkshire landscape.  Choose from den building, wild cooking, bushcraft, or fun evening games followed by marshmallows and hot chocolate around the firepit… utter bliss!
