Take your pick of unforgettable group glamping in the heavenly Teybrook Orchard, tucked away in rural North Essex.
  • Sleeps: 2-4 per unit
  • Bedroom: Varies
  • Bathroom: Communal
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

This gorgeous glamping spot, nestled between an apple orchard and sprawling woodland on the owners’ family farm, is home to a variety of very special dwellings. In other words, it’s the perfect excuse to gather your favourite people all together – whether you’re celebrating a special birthday, arranging a hen party, or planning an exclusive getaway.

Every dwelling in Teybrook Orchard has been specially selected, sited and furnished by the Browning Bros., whose love of den-building has stayed with them since childhood. Your only issue, in fact, might be who gets to sleep where!

In addition to the lovingly restored Grain Silo and Shepherd’s Hut, you can choose from a range of luxurious yurts and bell tents – each one delightfully named after characters from The Jungle Book or The Lion King for that extra sense of wild adventure.

The Grain Silo (sleeps 1-2)
Perfect for a couple, this bijou bolthole is set amongst a circle of trees at the end of a private path. As the name suggests, the Grain Silo used to store grain following the farm’s August harvest, but has now been beautifully renovated. Circular in shape and painted a beautiful duck-egg blue, inside awaits a cosy double bed, drapes, throws, and electric lighting… oh, and a beautiful skylight!

The Shepherd’s Hut (sleeps 1-2)
Whisk yourself away to a Shepherd’s Hut with history! Bought by the Browning Bros.’ great-grandfather over 60 years ago, this wood-clad wonder on wheels has been painstakingly restored to offer a truly idyllic hideaway under an old oak tree, in the corner of the meadow. As well as a comfy double bed and soft blankets, there’s also a woodburner to keep you beautifully toasty all night long.

The Yurts: Mowgli and Mufasa (each sleep between 1-6)
Add some Mongolian inspiration to your epic yurt sleepover! Both 18ft yurts were handcrafted in Somerset and are furnished with a proper double bed, yet also have space for two additional mattresses on the floor. With pretty linen, rugs, side tables and even dried flowers/crops grown on the farm itself, you can sleep under canvas without missing any of your home comforts. And remember to check out the night sky through your skylight!

The Bell Tents: Bagheera, Baloo, Colonel Hathi, Shere Khan, Rafiki and Simba (each sleeps up to 4)
There’s nothing more charming than a beautiful bell tent, and Teybrook Orchard’s certainly don’t disappoint. Each one is furnished to the same luxurious standards, complete with carpets, rugs, pillows, LED lighting and even a pretty tea-light chandelier above. All come with a real double bed and two comfy mattresses on the floor, so all you need to do is select your favourite pitch.

More information

Once you’ve ‘checked in’ to your chosen dwellings, you’ll discover a sumptuous array of hangout spaces to help those giggle-fuelled catch-up conversations along. Whip up a hearty supper in the pizza oven or coal-drum barbecue, grab a comfy seat in the marquee, or unwind in the woodland hot tub as the stars come out to play.

There’s a charming outdoor kitchen (though if you don’t feel like cooking, the farm’s restaurant The Barn Brasserie is a short walk away) and since every dwelling comes with its own private firepit, marshmallow-toasting is covered… a perfect dessert! Oh, and if the great British weather isn’t playing ball, you could always enjoy some table tennis or hire one of the Browning Bros. other garden games in the undercover area – ideal for the more competitive types in your group.

The site also benefits from four flushing loos and four showers with plenty of hot water. And if you’re after something a little more luxurious, you can still enjoy beautiful Teybrook Farm with a stay in the lovely Log Cabin.
