Friendly and family-run, you’ll find Brackenhill Glamping nestled amongst 1.5 peaceful acres of an idyllic farm field in the ancient South Devon village of Ugborough.

Not only is Dartmoor National Park in easy reach, but you’ll also be surrounded by fresh green valley views, peppered with free-roaming chickens, and fun spots for the kids to create new adventures… including a willow den and a mud kitchen!

Better still, your accommodation couldn’t be lovelier. Simply choose from two cosily-furnished safari tents, Glow Worm and Slow Worm.

As well as separate rooms and ‘proper’ beds, both tents boast self-contained kitchen and bathroom facilities that make them ideal for laid-back family escapes – four-legged family members included.

Sleeping up to five guests, Glow Worm is perfectly positioned to showcase the countryside, and is also handily close to the on-site honesty shop. Inside you’ll find two separate bedrooms: one home to a four-poster bed with fairy lights, the other bunks that the kids will love.

Slightly larger, and secluded amongst whispering mature trees, Slow Worm sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms: a kingsize, a twin, and a bunk room. Filled with home comforts, the large kitchen even comes with a dishwasher, making clearing up after holiday feasts ridiculously easy.

(You’ll find the dogs are well looked-after here, too – as well as a large bed, towel and bowls, there’ll also be a doggy welcome pack ready and waiting!)

What the guests of Brackenhill Glamping say

“This was an excellent break for a family with young children. The tent was spacious and very clean, we enjoyed the outdoor seating area in particular. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to camp but who enjoys home comforts too!”

“Everything you need and more. I would happily live here and I already have a nice home.Met the owners on the first day and was made to feel welcome.  However, did not see them after that. This is not a bad thing. The reason we did not see them is because every single little thing was thought of and worked perfectly. So we didnt actually need them although we always knew they were close by to give support if it was needed. This place is amazing….. No other words are needed.”

“The Safari Tent and all of the amenities were fantastic. From booking through to the end of our stay communication was great and the team were attentive and not overbearing. We had our dog and children with us and everyone was catered for to ensure that the stay was as smooth as possible, the dogs bed and treat was a lovely touch. The tent was spacious and comfortable even with our friends who were in Glow worm joining us for the evening. A great spot for visiting the local areas too. We’ll be back again.”
