A mere stone’s throw from the iconic town of Glastonbury, Pennard Hill Farm is a friendly, family-run working farm in the heart of the rolling Mendip Hills.

But Pennard Hill is no ordinary farm! Not only can you expect vast expanses of soothing, unspoilt rural scenery, luxurious facilities including a heated indoor pool are available.

What better way to take some time out from the exhausting demands of everyday life? Particularly when there’s such glorious accommodation to choose from, too. And with every last detail so beautifully thought out, your stay promises to be memorable for all the loveliest reasons.

Peacefully suspended between two trees, the Tree Tent is a magical escape for a couple in need of fresh-air-filled downtime.  And with no Wi-Fi or electricity anywhere in sight, you can reconnect with nature and each-other… without any distractions getting in the way.

The bedroom pod is furnished with a  double bed, soft LED lighting, and a gorgeous wood-burning stove that will make cool evenings feel ridiculously cosy.

By day, simply fold the bed into a sofa, and get lost in conversation, or disappear between the pages of a good book. In such a beautiful setting, you may prefer to relax al fresco. To do that, all you’ve got to do is wander across the rope bridge to the spacious decked seating area, beautifully nestled amongst the trees.

The Hide, meanwhile, is suspended amongst ancient oak and ash, in a secluded farm corner with supreme hillside views. Sleeping up to four guests, indulgent delights include a wood-fired twin bathtub, and a choice of sleeping in the tent itself, or in the separate wood cabin, which you’ll discover across a suspended bridge.

What the guests of Pennard Hill Tree Tents say

“This was my childhood dream of living in a real tree house come true! The place is absolutely fantastic: cosy, well-built, spacious, clean, tranquil and romantic – an amazing couple’s getaway. It is essentially a perfect glamping holiday. The tree tent (where you sleep or just cuddle together) is a tent after all, but it’s the cosiest tent I’ve ever stayed in. It also feels very safe and does not swing around too much. The rest of the accommodation is a fantastic little house under the trees with a modern kitchen, toilet, and a shower with hot water on demand. Overall the place is clearly thoughtfully built and prepared. Highly recommend roasting marshmallows on the fire for your dinner or dessert!”

“The tree tent is an incredible experience all round. Post lockdown it was the best escape we could have asked for. Lying in bed with the fresh air, dawn chorus and a cup of tea, after sleeping under the stars (through the roof window) was amazing! A lovely hot shower whilst being in the trees was a great feeling and the whole place is designed so brilliantly. Despite the changeable weather, we had so much fun cooking and toasting marshmallows on the camp fire and enjoying being in our own secret home in the trees. Highly recommend to anyone who loves the countryside and wants a break with a difference!”

“We had a wonderful stay in the Tree Tent! Pippa was friendly, helpful and provided lots of local information. It was such an unique place to stay – the novelty of it all made it so special. We did also access the indoor pool which was beautifully done. The wood burner in the tent meant a cosy night’s sleep, and the outdoor fire fit was a perfect setting for long evenings. The place has a real rustic charm – we’ll definitely come back. If you’re looking for something a bit different – don’t hesitate to book.”
