Full description

Six intricately-crafted treehouses ideal for couples and families, beautifully secluded in an enchanting Welsh valley.

There's something magical about a treehouse. The staple of many a childhood fantasy, what's not to love about spiriting yourselves away to the peaceful beauty of the forest, far away from everyday cares?

With a stay at Living Room Treehouses, you can upgrade that childhood fantasy to a perfectly-crafted sanctuary, one described by The Guardian as like "inhabiting a unique artistic creation".  George Clarke also commented on his Amazing Spaces TV show that the treehouse "is so sensitive to the surrounding landscape, it has virtually become part of it."

Said landscape is a hidden Welsh valley, close to both Snowdonia National Park and a collection of fine, sandy beaches. Peppered with rushing mountain streams and unspoilt, wide open pastureland, a more wondrous setting would be hard to imagine.

Set high in the whispering ancient oak, larch, and Scots Pine woodland, the off-grid houses themselves are individually unique, and strikingly beautiful, accessed by a wooden suspension bridge and a spiral staircase for the grandest of entrances!  Inside awaits both comfort and supreme attention to detail, with fine interiors created by a Swedish designer, crafted from oak and cedar wood, with plenty of cosy insulation.

You'll find the porthole windows perfectly positioned for you to immerse yourselves in those amazing views, whilst beams of sunshine and moonlight flood inside. By evening, simply light the twinkly fairy lights, lanterns and tea lights for a gentle, soft glow that promises to soothe your souls.

Meanwhile, the open-plan design is ideal for socialising and relaxation alike, helped along by a crackling wood-burning stove that cleverly doubles as a heater for your spring water shower.

With a well-equipped kitchen, a Swedish composting toilet, and downy beds that sleep up to two adults and three children, your luxurious treetop suite is complete.

After a silent night's sleep, awake to the magnificent sights and sounds of nature, as you cradle a steaming mug of coffee. Whip up a hearty breakfast in the trees, then enjoy the morning sunshine out on your private deck, equipped with hand-made chairs and an al-fresco dining table.

(You may not want to move all day - so make sure you've packed plenty of good books!)

If you're in the mood to explore, there's a wealth of spectacular, unspoilt nature to discover in the surrounding landscape. Head out for an invigorating walk, around the ancient woodlands and wildflower meadows and look out for the amazing array of wildlife, let the kids indulge their imaginations with a spot of den building, or simply splash around in the streams for a while!

Further afield, the market town of Machynlleth is a mere eight miles from the site, while a fifteen-mile drive will take you straight to the beach.

Not that you're likely to be travelling all that further afield.  Secluded in your private treetop haven, you're likely to feel that this is as close to heaven on Earth that holiday life can get.
