Nordisk Village Lacar Argentina
There's something inherently refreshing about the eco-friendly concept behind Nordisk Village.
Created and located in a small number of hand-picked, remote settings around the world, Scandi-style glamping is combined with spectacular natural landscapes that each tell a unique story.
A sense of community, an outdoor lifestyle, and perfect natural comfort all lie at the heart of Nordisk Village, in its constant search for "hygge" - that wondrous Danish word for "comfortable and cosy".
You'll feel as though you've arrived at the very top of the world during your retreat to Nordisk Village Argentina. Set within a working village by the glacial, mirror-like Lake Làcar, you'll be completely surrounded by the majestic Andes, with acre after acre of scenic wilderness to hike or kayak your way through.
The cotton Vanaheim tents you'll discover here face the tip of the beautiful National Park, originally founded in 1937 and boasting plenty of historic tales to tell. You'll wake every morning to irresistible views of the lake - what a way to start your day.
Each toasty tent sleeps up to four guests in idyllic comfort, furnished with a cosy double and a child's bed, and offering a roomy 24m2 of space. As you might expect, clean-lined, minimalist Scandi style reigns supreme throughout, with natural furnishings and high-quality linen.
There are generous, shared kitchen, dining, and bathroom facilities, so you're bound to feel a wonderful sense of community throughout your stay. Be prepared, in fact, to make firm friends!
You can also relax in the knowledge that your holiday is infused with eco-credentials almost as much as hygge itself. Each Nordisk Village is created rather than constructed, which means everything can be removed to leave the natural environment almost completely untouched.
So, that all leaves you perfectly free to spend your time relaxing, chatting with new friends, or immersing yourself in all the beauty of the local area.
Watersports enthusiasts will enjoy kayaking on that shimmering lake, while the organised Seven Lakes Road Trip is sure to be a memorable highlight. Encompassing 120 miles from Bariloche City to the town of San Martin de los Andes, the route is peppered with coastal lakes, abundant wildlife, and awe-inspiring landscapes.
Trust us, you'll want to bring your camera along for the ride.
