A jaw-droppingly palatial Victorian retreat, dog-friendly and divinely nestled in an ancient Norfolk village that's surrounded by beautiful countryside.
  • Sleeps: 10
  • Bedrooms: 5
  • Bathrooms: 4
  • Minimum stay: 4 nights

The perfect setting for epic woodland walks, North Elmham Chapel is a former Victorian chapel, soothingly nestled in a Norfolk village that was first recorded all the way back in 1035 (‘Elmham’ is Old English for “village where elms grow”).

Brimming with quirky character and plush, indulgent style, the brick-and-flint chapel is ideal for celebrations of up to 10 guests… and with up to four well-behaved dogs also permitted to stay, no-one has to be left off the list!

Extremely spacious throughout, there’s plenty of room for everybody to stretch out and relax, surrounded by glorious gothic architecture, a grand, sweeping oak staircase, and vaulted ceilings.

Curl up with your loved ones and chat cosy evenings away in the snug – also the ideal spot to watch a movie together – or grab a good book and a cuppa, and unwind in the conservatory, surrounded by garden views.

Meanwhile, you’ve got the choice of an Aga or an electric oven to whip up feasts fit for the church elders, with an incredible light-up kitchen island that will have everybody arguing over who gets to do the cooking!

Break bread and drink wine at the dining table – complete with pew seating – then why not head up to the enormous galleried first-floor living area, complete with its incredible vaulted roof, huge, light-flooding windows, games tables, and an original pulpit?

When it’s finally time to turn in, you’ll have the choice of five gorgeous bedrooms, four of which are en-suite. Each room has been individually styled and richly furnished, to boast its very own character (translation: it may take a while to choose your favourite!)
