What the guests of Fenton Tower say

“Having decided to tie the knot after 30 years together, we looked for somewhere to invite 32 guests to join us for dinner. We received such a prompt and welcoming response from The Manager, Alan. His patience and good humour throughout all the planning made everything seem possible. The tower is stunning. Brilliantly appointed, yet steeped in history. The staff are delightful and the food out of this world. We couldn’t have asked for more. We used the Great Hall for an informal ceremony, followed by champagne & canapes before heading down to the vaulted dining room for a fantastic feast. After a short interlude the room was turned around and accommodated a lively ceilidh and evening buffet. Breakfast was also hearty and welcome. It was a bit daunting having the keys to the castle at first, but it’s amazing how quickly one can get used to it! It is close to North Berwick which is packed with lovely shops, and restaurants and has beautiful beaches and golf courses to enjoy.”

“If you are looking for something private, special & amazing this is the place. Meticulously restored 16th century tower with only 6 rooms. One of the owners, John, spent time sharing the details of bringing this treasure back to a beautiful property. Anyone with discerning taste in design will appreciate their attention to detail and the gorgeous antiques and art that fill each room.”

“I took my children to Fenton in June and stayed for about 10 days – I cannot imagine a better holiday! We enjoyed our meals at the Tower, our dinners were the most amazing experiences, the caterers outdid themselves and made it so that our dinners in were far more amazing than our dinners out! The atmosphere is wonderful, relaxing and invigorating all at once. There aren’t enough accolades for the staff, however, Alan, Avril, Claire, Tony, the entire team honestly are just top notch – so welcoming, helpful, hospitable, professional and friendly. The walks on the grounds, the over the top service, their ability to provide the feeling that this was our home for our time there is not something easily accomplished and they had us calling it home. Alan planned all of our outings, excursions, train travel, he was a shopping guide, taught me to drive in a foreign land and was just a man of so many talents and great kindness. I’m so grateful for the experience, the connections we made and the wonderful memories that we can cherish for years to come until we go again!”
