An award-winning, architect-designed hideaway for relaxing holidays by the sea, with glorious Southwold views from all directions.
  • Sleeps: 4
  • Bedrooms: 2
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Featured on Channel 4’s ‘Homes by the Sea’, and the proud recipient of an LABC Building Excellence Award, The Perch was lovingly designed by its architect owners.

The result is a coastal holiday haven that’s a genuine cut above the rest.

Perfectly situated in Southwold, in between the bustling heart of the town and its romantic, windswept harbour, a more enviable location is hard to imagine.

Better still, you can immerse yourselves in spectacular views of the surrounding sand dunes and marshes from just about anywhere – whether you’re relaxing with morning coffee on the top balcony, curling up with a good book in a cosy window seat, or savouring an after-dinner tipple in the lounge.

Everything at The Perch has been carefully designed with comfort, relaxation, and simple grown-up style in mind, from its pared-down timber façade, to its light, bright, and soft-toned interiors.

The ground floor space is generously open plan and sociable, with a dedicated dining area, and an immaculate kitchen that’s home to every appliance and accessory you could wish for.

Head for the irresistibly comfy lounge area for dreamy views across the marshes and out to the River Blyth, as you chat away with your loved ones (there’s an award-winning open-flame fire to light if it gets too chilly, and a Smart TV with DVR recorder if you get bored!)

Gather everyone for summer evening drinks on the raised, furnished deck area, or simply relax in the open garden instead…the choice is yours!

If you’re heading out, a 15-minute ramble will take you to Southwold Pier in one direction, or you can head for the town and browse through its many independent shops and restaurants in the other. Wildlife lovers will revel in a visit to The Denes Beach, home of skylarks and little terns, along with seawater pools filled with sea holly.
