A light-filled, sociable family beach house with a relaxed open-plan style, dog-friendly and perfectly set within one minute's walk from the golden beach at Camber Sands.
  • Sleeps: 6
  • Bedrooms: 3
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Laid-back and lovely, The Dunes is a contemporary beach house that’s perfect for family breaks by Camber Sands’ heavenly, seven-mile stretch of unspoilt golden sand.

And when we say family, we mean the whole family… carefree children and a well-behaved dog included!

Beautifully light and bright, there’s a fresh sense of coastal cheer throughout the entire house, while its open-plan design means you can keep an eye on the kids as you catch up over a glass of wine.

Perfect for all weathers, simply throw open the huge bi-fold doors when the sun is shining and let the outside in, or curl up in front of the roaring log fire and the Smart TV on chilly days. There’s plenty of squishy seating to choose from, so all you’ve got to do is rustle up a steaming mug of hot chocolate and relax!

But if the sun shines long into the evening, why not head through those doors and into the peaceful rear garden, which is full of sweet-scented flowers to help you unwind as the sun sets? The decked area is also home to a sun lounger: a great spot if you’ve brought that book you never seem to find time for at home.

Back inside, you’ll find the kitchen gainfully equipped with everything you’ll need to whip up feasts galore, to be lazily devoured at the large dining table. There’s a table and chairs outside, too… ideal for scenic al fresco suppers.

Finally time to turn in? You’ll find an elegant double room on the ground floor, along with a spacious family shower room that makes luxurious work of morning freshen-ups.

Home to the only sand dune system in East Sussex, the rolling views are picture-perfect… so much so that Camber Sands has been featured on screen many times, from films including Dunkirk and The Theory of Everything, to Ricky Gervais’s celebrated Netflix show, After Life.
