Filled with enchanting winding paths, and framed by a unique backdrop of lush valleys and mountains, the breathtaking Pedras Salgadas Park boasts 20 hectares of natural beauty.

Once a favoured destination for Portuguese royalty, you’ll discover plenty of delights as you travel those paths, including an architect-designed thermal spa and pool, a bar and restaurant, and a tree-top adventure course, amongst many others.

Rich in purity, steeped in wildlife and filled with the finest Portuguese architecture, this is the ideal destination for those in need of an enthralling escape. Not to mention pampering spa treatments, using natural spring water that was once said to have healing powers.

Designed by famed architect Luís Rebelo de Andrade, the sustainable treehouses you’ll find at Pedras Salgadas are no ordinary treehouses. Created from raw materials that render them almost invisible amongst their natural surroundings, you can expect truly spectacular views from your self-contained treetop haven.

You’ll find a cosy double bed and a sofa, along with a bathroom and a kitchenette, inside your treehouse, meaning you’ll have everything you need to laze amongst the leaves.

If you’re prefer a more down-to-Earth home, you’ll also find fourteen Eco Houses, also designed by Luís Rebelo de Andrade to merge beautifully with their surroundings. The houses sleep from two to six people, and are all perfectly equipped with everything you’ll need for a soothing stay.

With your accommodation chosen, it’s time to explore. Take out one of the free bicycles and whizz through the many trails, embark on the treetop adventure challenge, indulge in an afternoon dip, visit the hot springs – a pleasant 18 degrees celsius in the fountain, energise at the new gym or while away the day at the bar with all those friends you haven’t met yet.
