  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Remember the secret dream you nursed since childhood, that you would one day live in a treehouse? Well, now you’re all grown up, you can! Better still, you’ll find this particular treehouse has been given an exclusive upgrade.

Perfectly nestled in twelve acres of private ancient woodland, this adults-and-dogs-only retreat is surrounded by the exceptional beauty of nature…the perfect antidote to a stressful everyday life.  With the breathtaking North Devon coast just a stone’s throw away, scenic woodland walks and beaches are easy to discover and enjoy.

The treehouse itself is a bespoke-crafted haven, blissfully secluded amongst the leaves for a uniquely romantic escape.  Every detail has been carefully considered here, and it shows.

Creative hexagonal decking showcases panoramic woodland views (if you’re lucky, you may even spot the occasional deer!).  Plenty of comfy seating, plus a cast-iron pizza oven and a barbecue, mean al fresco dining is a sumptuous pleasure.

The exceptional style and attention to detail continue inside. A crackling woodburning stove is the ideal complement to evening TV and movie dates, with a selection of DVDs and games to enjoy. Kitchen essentials are provided, along with a Nespresso coffee machine to ease you gently into the mornings.

The bathroom houses an opulent walk-in waterfall shower, complete with luxury toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes. When it’s time to turn in after a hard day exploring the area, the cosy cotton-dressed king-sized bed is the ideal resting place.

(Oh, and if you were thinking that wasn’t quite enough luxury, the bedroom also features a roll-top, freestanding bath with magnificent valley views, and the two newest luxurious additions include a hot tub and sauna, for complete spa bliss!)

What the guests of Ravendere Retreats Treehouse say

“Awe-inspiring place to stay! The Treehouse is, without a doubt, the most beautiful accommodation we have ever had the privilege of spending time in. Upon arrival, we were met by Kieran who kindly, helped us up the hill with our bags.. Seeing the treehouse for yourself is breathtaking! The outside is impressive, the shapes and the different styles of wood and finishes all add to its beauty but once inside you get the full effect of the views! There’s not one window you look out of that doesn’t please the eye. There were so many thoughtful touches everywhere we explored, we felt thoroughly pampered and needed nothing more. Obviously, we were very grateful indeed for the generous welcome hamper, the cream tea was yummy as were the chocolates, perfect for my sweet tooth! The peace and quiet and the most amazing comfortable bed ensured we recharged our batteries and relaxed much quicker than we ever had before on holiday. The quality and luxury of everything, the decor, that sumptious bath, the fantastic log burner, the attention to detail, not to mention the cleanliness were all outstanding. As for the location, well – sublime! Watching the wildlife nearby, squirrels burying their stash for winter, hearing the woodpecker, seeing and hearing the owls, the ravens coming in to roost at dusk. It was our idea of heaven and we are so looking forward to returning to this relaxing haven.”

“We have just returned home after spending a week in this truly beautiful, magical treehouse and are already having withdrawal symptoms! Nothing can prepare you for the first glimpse of the treehouse through the trees as you drive slowly up the hill. Kieran was waiting for us and very kindly helped with our luggage and explained how everything worked. I really wasn’t expecting the inside to be as big as it was. The pictures on the website are amazing but actually standing inside is breathtaking. Beautifully decorated to a very high standard, the Treehouse has very large windows all around overlooking the amazing forest with the most stunning views imaginable and this was going to be our home for a whole week. We found lots of lovely personal touches and a lovely food hamper crammed full of luxury local produce. The bed is extremely comfy and has the most amazing large bath under the window – again lots of windows to take in the gorgeous views. The large waterfall shower downstairs never disappointed instant hot water with full pressure – you really couldn’t believe all this was inside a treehouse and not a 5* hotel! Kieran and Helen have thought of everything and again all to a very high standard. For us the fact that we were allowed to bring our dog was the icing on the cake and we had lots of fun exploring up and down the many parts of the forest and of course a little rest on Bruce’s bench. We loved watching all the wildlife and listening to the owls and woodpeckers.”

“This place is magical , unique and any review would not do it justice. My husband and I stayed here for a week celebrating our ruby wedding anniversary. It was a surprise as my husband had no idea. Both speechless. The treehouse is super stylish cosy and welcoming Kieran really has thought of everything. Lovely welcome gifts, thank you. We will never forget our week here. Miss waking up in the forest, miss seeing the deer family, miss going to sleep to the sound of the owls.”
