An adults-only, master-crafted RIBA award-winning treehouse, complete with an al fresco hot tub and wood-fired pizza oven, beautifully secluded on an exclusive site in rural Dorset.
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Mesmerisingly designed to mimic the shape of a child’s windmill, Pinwheel is a treehouse that evokes fun childhood memories… whilst also boasting the highest levels of luxury.

You may also recognise the master craftsman who created it.

Guy Mallinson’s RIBA award-winning Woodman’s Treehouse was featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces and Grand Designs House of the Year, and he was also the former ‘wood mentor’ on BBC2’s popular Mastercrafts series.

You’ll find Pinwheel secluded in the bluebell wood on Guy’s own soothing Dorset site, Mallinson’s Woodland Retreat which features an exquisite trio of lovingly handcrafted treehouses for two adults.

Designed by Guy himself, in collaboration with the award-winning architect Keith Brownlie, each of Pinwheel’s rooms are expertly arranged in a cross-shape to create the windmill effect.

The overall look is almost hypnotic, with concentric rings of timber that decrease toward the centre, while one-way mirror glass reflects the trunks of the surrounding mature oak trees.

(This is treehouse made work of art, so we heartily suggest you prepare your Instagram account for an excess of wow-factor updates during your stay!)
