With awe-inspiring design, enviable eco-credentials, and even outdoor bathtubs overlooking Loch Eriboll, Croft 103 certainly has it all.
  • Sleeps: 2 per cottage
  • Bedrooms: 1 per cottage
  • Bathrooms: 1 per cottage
  • Minimum stay: 7 nights

Situated on the owners’ family croft in North West Sutherland, here you’ll find two 5-star cottages and a Highlands hideaway to remember.

Hill Cottage and Shore Cottage, which together make up Croft 103, sleep two people apiece – perfect for a luxurious romantic break from the whirl of life. Both expertly blend traditional craftsmanship and materials with modern design and technology. The result? A pair of stunning shoreline abodes offering maximum comfort with minimal environmental impact.

Everything about Croft 103 is sympathetic to the surrounding rugged landscape, from the natural stone and local timber used in the construction of the cottages to the inconspicuous, one-storey design of each. Both cottages have also been perfectly placed to afford you seclusion and privacy, all the while ensuring the most spectacular views of mountain, sea and sky.

Both cottages offer the same outstanding levels of comfort, yet each is unique in its design. Hill Cottage features a fan-shaped construction, its contours complementing those of the glacial landscape beautifully. Shore Cottage is of a bolder design – a barrel-shaped building topped by a magnificent curved roof. Both, however, are designed to bring the glorious outside in, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, large patios, and – of course – an outdoor roll-top bathtub for long soaks overlooking the sea loch from which you might catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights if you are lucky!

Inside each cottage, look forward to levels of luxury befitting of a very special stay with your loved one. Light and airy, clean and modern, beautifully spacious yet wonderfully intimate, the interiors of each have been carefully planned to create a sense of exclusivity and style.

The living areas both feature beautiful fixtures and fittings, whilst exquisite open-plan design makes the very most of those incredible views, giving you every opportunity to marvel at your surroundings whether you’re cooking, dining, or relaxing.

Ceramics by Lotte Glob, Caithness stone in the kitchen and bathroom, and bespoke towel rails and door handles add extra touches of originality at Croft 103. Particularly striking are the incredible 7ft beds you’ll find in each cottage, designed by artist-blacksmith Sam Barlow and made from lacquered steel and leather – a real centrepiece for a luxurious night’s sleep to remember!
